Even better, you can choose to select either the audio or video, depending on where you clicked.
Some nice additions we liked include the Track Select Tool - which lets you highlight everything to the right or left of your selection. It’s something competing products have had for years - if not decades - so it’s nice to see it finally added to the roster.Īnother overdue improvement is the ability to export audio using the WAV format EDIUS X WG with BM Mini Monitor 4k and BM Mini Recorder, Gigabyte X299 UD4 Pro, Intel Core i9 9960X 16 Core, 32 Threads 4.3Ghz, Corsair Water Cooling, Gigabyte RTX-2070 Super 3X 8GB Video Card, Samsung 860 Pro 512GB SSD for System, 8TB Samsung Raid0 SSD for Video, 2 Pioneer BDR-209 Blu-ray/DVD burners, Hotswap Bay for 3.5' Sata and 2.5' SSD. Some of the features include a Crop/Pan and Zoom tool which allows you to pan across a photo or video clip over time. The latest improvements aren’t earth shattering, but they’re definitely nice to have. Im no kind of expert on Hitfilm, but I like it because it seems a good mid-range program that can be used by an amateur like me to really boost visual effects to a higher level.
New featuresīeing free doesn’t mean this software is antiquated and over the hill: it keeps getting updated. But because of the awesome compositing, effects and particle capabilities in Hitfilm, it might be worth learning it for some kinds of shots. They are nice to have, but they’re not crucial, and that’s a big point to the developers of HitFilm Express, who created a great app that is a very useable editor and rivals almost all other packages in its price range.
Create epic videos and effects using our all-in-one editing, compositing, and VFX software, HitFilm Pro, while powering up your other editors with Ignite plugins. But to be fair, as long as you’re working in traditional 2D media, you can build an edit, even a relatively complex one without those add-ons. The Pro Suite includes: HitFilm Pro (worth 349) Ignite Pro (worth 299) Imerge Pro (worth 199) Learn More. As you scroll through the Effects menu, you’ll come across a fair number that are greyed out with ‘Add On’ in reddish orange to their right. You will find however, that not all tools are available to you. Not everything is free, and the most advanced tools come at a cost, but developers gotta eat, right? (Image credit: FXhome)
